Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund

We're honored to give a portion of our t-shirt and merchandise sales to this group. In honor of our friend Msgt Dave (BDL) Lind, who showed us the true meaning of courage – not on the battlefield, but from his hospital bed.

The Semper Fi Fund, established in 1994, is a 501(c)(3) group that has provided more than 15,000 grants totaling over $32 million in assistance for America's wounded heroes and their families.

From the Semper Fi Fund's website:

"The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund provides financial assistance and quality of life solutions to: Operation Enduring Freedom" (OEF)/"Operation Iraqi Freedom" (OIF) Marines and Sailors injured in combat, training, or with life threatening illnesses; and their families; other "Operation Enduring Freedom" (OEF)/"Operation Iraqi Freedom" (OIF) service members injured while in direct support of Marine units and their families.

"Our assistance helps with immediate financial needs during hospitalization and recovery, and perpetuating needs, such as modified transportation, home modifications, and specialized equipment.

"When an OEF/OIF Marine or Sailor, or other OEF/OIF service member assigned to Marine forces is injured, their entire family shares the pain and the burden of recovery. Normal life is put on hold as loved ones travel great distances, at a moment’s notice, to be at the bedside, often for weeks or months. Recovery from major catastrophic injuries may take our service members several years to recover. The family members take leave from their jobs, often without pay, and incur additional expenses for child-care, lodging, travel, and other necessities. Few families are prepared for the expenses they face. They need help, and they need it quickly. The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund was created to meet this need."
